Bio
Ded Betti was formed in 2005 when former members of Betty Trap, Jordan Hostetler and Nathan Stitt, joined forces with Lady Jane's drummer Joe Schott and guitarist Tim Gill. Though members of the new group were each very versatile musicians, Gill found his niche in filling the low end. Schott's intricate speed and innovation on the drum kit is second to none. Stitt and Hostetler stuck to guitar and mutually agreed to take a Lennon/McCartney approach to the songwriting and singing.
Ded Betti's music is usually categorized as "alternative rock", but they do not put boundaries or limits on their music. Influenced by the heaviest sounds of rock and roll, the deepest color of blues, to the calloused soul of reggae, Ded Betti has embraced all aspects of the musical spectrum.
The idea of Ded Betti can be summed up in one great quote from a great writer:
“It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.” - Herman Melville
