"Ghost In the North Vol.1"

The stand-out track of this compilation is to me 'I Don't Aspire to Dancing but if I did I'd do Break-Dancing...' by Ded Rabbit, the fabulously funky foursome of Glenlivet brothers who are a favourite of this office....... - Northern Scot

"Bryan McKellar"

Ded Rabbit, the best up-and-coming band in Moray...... - Northern Scot

Bio

Ded Rabbit consists of four brothers from the highlands of Scotland with nothing better to do than dedicate our time to music. We have been playing together for around four years and feel we have discovered our unique sound. All four of us have certain influences that can be heard in our playing but when brought together, it blends very nicely. Bands such Kyuss, The Beatles and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club influnce the drums but also a certain level of funkiness has been incorporated. The lead guitar is influenced by artists such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and John Frusciante of the Chili Peppers but has been twisted in a unique way. The bass has hints of Chili Peppers, Cream and Interpol but put through distortion has great depth and grit to it. The rhythm guitar has a warm sound and is occasionally influenced by Albert Hammond Jr and the punchy sound from Arctic Monkeys. The vocals are influnced by artists such as Radiohead, David Bowie and Arctic Monkeys and are occasionllay sung in a very syllabic way. Altogether Ded Rabbit have a raw but polished funky rock sound.
