" Dee Lavell is a singer's singer" Ali Woodson - tha late lead singer of the Temptations.
SOUL, PASSION, CHARISMA & FIRE, are words used to describe the voice of Dee Lavell. A well seasoned performer with over 25 yrs experience on stage as well as in the studio.
My main influences have been Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Bonnie Raitt, Chaka Khan, Ella Fitzgerald, Renee Geyer, Patti LaBelle.
Finally the floodgates of songwriting have opened and I am able to pen songs from the many experiences I have been through in my life.
My style has turned to the BLUES and I LOVE being able to sing with ALL the emotion inside of me still incorporating soul music which runs thru my veins.
The joy of being a mama and living in THE most beautiful area in Australia inspires me & I feel blessed to have the gift of music to share with others.
