Bio
Deep Culcha is the witness of a society moving for the hope of a shared multi-cultural richness. Discovered by Omar Perry in the year 2001, a brand new era arose for reggae music in Belgium, with a combination of reggae, hip hop, latin, rock, soul, jazz and funk in a single and original idiosyncratic "Deep Culcha Touch".
DC quickly became Omar Perry's backing band and performed on the greatest scenes of the realm : Couleur Café, AB support act of Buju Banton, Aéroneff support act of U-Roy, Fest in het park, Grand Place of Brussels, Dour Festival etc.
In the year 2003 Deep Culcha releases a first unbridled album called "Multiculture" featuring Omar Perry and Rionoir, then followed a single simply called "Mama". DC blends four languages in their songs, English, Spanish, French and Italian, all sang by David Piccolo. With this he can switch the atmosphere from the verse to the chorus, and lead the crowd throughout the marvels of different cultures he had inherited. This is what strengthens DC's sublime diversity.
The sweetets cocktail Deep Culcha can freshly serve is the versitility of experienced musicians coming from different cultures and horizons. But everyone has a single aim : quench the people's thirst with DC's special flavor.
