Deep Cuts

Deep Cuts formed in late 2010 as an outlet for founding members Chase Harris (guitar, vocals) and Zach Alderman (drums) to write exactly the sort of music that interested them. The band has since expanded to include Austin Garrison (bass, vocals), Wes Essary (keyboard), and Stefan Mach (guitar). The various members of the band had previously spent time in successful Houston-area bands such as The Ride Home, B, and By The End Of Tonight. Deep Cuts draws from a wide array of influences while simultaneously striving to carve out their own sonic niche. The band's music mixes contemporary pop hooks with the sharp instrumentation of latin greats such as Aldemaro Romero. Having played multiple shows in their first year of existence, Deep Cuts continues to practice regularly and tighten their playing. The band also continually writes and self-records new songs; they are currently writing a new batch of music further exploring the latin idiom.
