Deep Fried Funk Band

What do you call an exhilarating world-class set of musicians from various walks of life that consistently deliver brilliant, exciting performances? “DEEP FRIED FUNK” yelled a fascinated audience member.
The formation of Deep Fried Funk Band (D.F.F.B) became inevitable when David “Jody” Hill, legendary professional percussionist of over 40 years, came to the realization that South Florida’s live music scene was missing an essential element. He realized that live entertainment was not only about a great performance, but it is about amazing collaboration of quality, professional, seasoned musicians on one accord to perform music in a fresh, extraordinary, and funkier style. Hill did not have to search far to find band members that possessed similar professional qualities and accomplished careers; but in becoming more acquainted with individual characteristics in rehearsals and spot dates, they found their intangible chemistry. Collectively, they discovered the incomparable qualities needed to dominate the South Florida entertainment industry. In 2005, Deep Fried Funk was formed and the “Best Kept Secret” band was ready to take their rightful place.

Deep Fried Funk Band is known for its uniquely gifted band members, David "Jody" Hill on Drums, Todrick "Groove Playa" Hunter on Bass, Dave "Talkbox" Karmiol on Guitar, and Corey Irvin on Keys and is a well requested band in the South Florida area demonstrating exceptional talent and diversity. They are currently on working on there musical project consisting of original music scheduled to be released in 2016.
