Legion of Boom (2012)
Defective Collective Mixtape (2012)
Untitled Third Album (TBA - 2013)

Defective Collective began as a collaboration between bookworm's (Jeremy Dobski) childhood friend, Mogli Da Foulchild (Alex Nezami), and cousin Enemy (Bradley Trager), with whom he began his musical experimentation. Due to the artists' residence in different cities across North America, their first album, 'Legion of Boom' (2012), was produced almost entirely via online correspondence. Enemy later departed the group due to creative differences.
Defective Collective was largely influenced by the boom bap era of hip hop. Soul, funk and rock music, as well as the attitudes of the punk rock era, have also been key to the evolution of the group. The artists sought to contrast many of the attitudes they felt prevalent in hip hop music: materialism, egotism, and empty posturing. Thus, they strive to create thoughtful music that places emphasis on playfulness and progression, like the artists in which DCC finds their roots.
The collective structure is also integral to the goals of the project. Many people find hip hop to be intimidating and inaccessible as a genre. As part of a movement towards inclusiveness, DCC has invited singers, rock musicians, painters, and even comedians into the ranks of the collective. They seek to play the part of the villains to the self proclaimed "bad guys" who dominate the hip hop scene.
Defective Collective Crew is currently working on their second full-length album, to be released in 2013.
