Along comes Defend The Melody and the genius behind it Carolyn Parry. I've never heard nothing quite like it. She's got a really great voice wrapped around such beautiful dreamy music. Your taken to such a beautiful mysterious place. It part ambience and part atmospheric. It helps that she have such a talent group of musos behind. This album is quite simply a masterpiece, well produced and sung. You need this in your collection. One of the most unique artists to come out of Melbourne in a long time.

Bio
Australian singer-songwriter, Carolyn Parry founded Defend the Melody in 2007. Accompanied by her lovely band, which consists of a cellist, drummer, synthist, Defend the Melody also mix it up with various producers, giving them an original sound that is edgy, unique and beautiful. They have played in numerous venues and festivals throughout Australia and the USA and have just completed their debut LP, "The Longest Winter", which is available through most digital stores such as iTunes and Napstar.
