Defiant Calibur

Defiant Calibur

Defiant Calibur is a hard hitting rock n roll four piece that aims to use their diverse influences to create a blend of Heaviness, while still retaining the feel of old school rock n' roll. Defiant Calibur brings a reactive crowd and entertains fans old and new with their crowd enticing, high energy performances that are described as "Old school in your face sweaty fist pumpin' rock n' roll. " With a blend of powerful originals and reworked covers, Defiant Calibur gets the crowd on their feet and singing along to their unforgettable performance.

DeCal was born when Troy (bass/vox) invited Chook (drums/vox) and Nicky J (guitar/vox) to jam at his graduation party on June 27th 2009. Following the success of that jam, the trio decided to Start a band using mutual influences; bands such as Green Day, Led Zeppelin, Avenged Sevenfold and Blink - 182. The name “Calibur" was decided on after months of trying to find a name (Feb 4th 2010) only to find it in use elsewhere, so DeCal had decided to add "Defiant" in front of Calibur and the name stuck. Ben Hagis (guitar/vox) joined Defiant Calibur on September 2nd 2010 learning the set that day and playing a show the same night. With the addition of Ben Hagis' energy, frenzied guitar work and keys , Defiant Calibur's lineup was now complete and are who they are today; in your face straight rock n roll!
