Bio
Deficit are a Glasgow based band formed by Scott Brown and Graeme Rankin in March of 2005. They started playing as an acoustic act at their local pub, and although enjoying playing as a 2 piece, they knew that they needed to recruit a rhythm section to complete the line-up. Enter Max Lauder on the bass guitar and Dave Manuel on the drums. Originally sticking to covering their influences (Queen, Bon Jovi, REM, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few) they began writing original material and spend the next couple of years learning how to play live and gigging extensively. This led to the release of the (-1) EP and single "Time To Believe"
The energy of the live performances along with the sudden intamacy which Scott can create with his vocals sets the band apart. No gimmicks, no statements just a nod to the sensibilities that make music great
