Lyrics

As I cross the lake

Written By: DeFrancesco

As I cross the lake

Walking by your house
Trying to get on home
Found the end of me
Right there on the street

Next to a giant sky
I’ve seen your face before
And a step so high
I couldn’t rewrite the score
What’s waiting for me now?
I wanna stick around
Into the next town…
Be your lost and found
Town
When I’m beside the ground

As I cross the lake
My knees start to shake
I wish I was ashore
But I’m drowning more

As I start to swim
I’ve seen your face before
I see there’s nothing to win
I couldn’t rewrite the score
So I let it go
I wanna stick around
But I don’t know…
Be your lost and found
I don’t know
When I’m beside the ground

Somebody somewhere help
Just grab the seconds
I wanna go back there
Turn ‘em into a lifetime
And take the time to take it slow

God bless my 45

Written By: DeFrancesco

GOD BLESS MY 45

33’s have gone away
No more rounds for my 38
Rock and roll is automatic, babe

I’m gonna spin my vinyl tracks
No need ro pull the hammer back
Rock and roll is automatic babe

Just 3 minutes and 30 seconds, man

chorus
If God would bless my 45
Hit the charts with a bullet through the eyes
Leaving no doubt
Well, we’ll go dancing to my 45
Driving by with my 45 tonight

I remember when I was 22
Nothing I did would ever get through
Now rock and roll is automatic, babe

Maybe when I am 47
All my songs will send you straight to heaven
Yah, rock and roll is automatic, babe

Just give me 3 minutes and 30 seconds, man
(chorus)

On a Saturday night, beneath the disco lights, my 45 and I
The djay’s spinning out, all the kid’s shout, for my 45 and I
(chorus)

Moved on

Written By: DeFrancesco, George Grancharoff, Marc-André Paré

Moved on

Down and out
When somebody said
You might see the day

Where all your hopes and dreams
And everything you vowed will come true
But I was holding on to what was gone
Standing there waiting for you

Sweet sounds where gone
Mind games were on
Words in a song

I wish I hadn’t hung around
Spending my days like a fool
I gave it all , I took it in
While you were just playing it cool

I’ve moved out
All this time we knew
I’ve moved on
And everything fell through

Falling out
Was losing faith
In what was sound and safe

When all your hopes and dreams
They didn’t come true
And with time I realise I had to leave it all
To get through

I’ve moved out
All these things we knew
I’ve moved on
And everything fell through

Down and out
When somebody said
You might see the day
