Surrounded by gospel artist within the family, Deja couldn’t help but to acknowledge her gift at the early age of 4. Contrary to her humble personality, her vocals are anything but modest. In fact chilling and somewhat perplexing would describe the faces of producers that entertain her tracks as she quickly advances through this artist development process. At age 13 she has now set her course for those in whom which she’s inspired by and patterns her style, like that of Lauren, Beyonce’ and Mary Mary.
Her soprano/alto voice possesses its foundation of gospel yet has the flow of an R&B artist, then bottoms out with a crooning second alto which fools the listener of her age.
Deja has several levels of talents that evolve from her personality to include acting dancing and writing. She's performed with various traveling choirs, concerts and shows that centered around her family thus giving her the ability to deliver an alarming confidence when performing. Her songs will strongly attract the hip hop market while proving themselves 3 dimensional by touching music lovers of other cultures, genres and ages. Well poised and a young lady at all times, she promises by nature to set a standard of excellence within the entertainment industry and beyond.
Although young, she is far beyond her years in learning to adapt in tough and unpredictable
circumstances that surround this industry. Well coached and always encouraged to transform opposition to opportunity, stay tuned… her best is yet to come.
