Review: Delay the Day
I haven't heard much good 90's influenced rock lately, which is a shame because I always loved a lot of those bands and that whole sound has been pretty much shelved for the last 10 years.

That's why this band appeals to me. It says, "we're ready to get back to the heavy. There are new (or at least properly aged) ideas, and we're ready to expand our creativity in that direction."

Over a metal skeleton, Delay the Day's flesh, blood, and guts are an original amalgamation of all those great bands we knew and loved. From hints of Alice in Chain's ethereal melodies, to the low, Manson-esque croak that occasionally scrapes across the track, to nods toward System of a Down's flamboyant vocal harmonies.

I think that this band has what it takes to really stand out, and I'm excited to see what they end up doing.

Bio

Delay the day is a diverse Tulsa based band. We have currently been playing gigs in mid-state oklahoma. Joe Hectic lead singer comes from a hard rock background with clean and aggresive vocals. Joe gets a crowd moving and gets them stirred up and going crazy. Brandon Gentry brings melodic vocals and guitar riffs as well as aggressive guitar riffs. Matt Gentry(ORION) brings the funk with his 5 string bass you can feel the harmonies from a mile away he also sings backup vocals in the band. Tim Bailey(PoPnFresh) comes from a death metal/Rock back ground and plays a lot of different styles. The Group as a whole has a unique sound that prevails over most. If you like rock, heavy metal, harmonies, aggressive vocals, clean vocals this is the band to see.
