Bio

I was born a preacher’s daughter in St. Louis, MO. I started playing piano at my dad’s church at 16 years old. It was very challenging, and so was my life. I have two beautiful daughters, from my first marriage, and now four grandchildren. From 1988 to 1998, I decided that I wanted to explore the world. I lived with negative energy all around me, and I almost lost my life. Then in 1998, I received a spiritual awakening and God gave me a new life. In the year 2000, something happened that nearly killed my spirit and my soul. After I became a Certified PARENTING INSTRUCTOR FOR THE CENTER FOR THE Improvement of Child Caring, I lost my baby son, who was such a miracle. I began to write. Some call it automatic writing. The death of my son became the birth of my writing. I am still helping and sharing with parents everywhere about this vital and important program. I instill in the parents to share what they have learned with others, because, "he who learns, teaches". The best way to help our children is to help their parents. In 2008 I graduated from Lincoln University's Addiction Academy as an Addiction Counselor. I lecture to others about the harmful effects of drug abuse and how to stop and stay stopped. I became a mentor at the St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center in 2009, where I share with the youth on how to get and stay on the positive and right path. This same year (2009), I wrote my first song,"My Guardian Angel Child," it's about the loss of a child, the pain and the heart break that a parent must endure. Somehow this pain becomes the greatest strength/force to push one forward to another purpose. That purpose can be used as a ministry to keep the child's gift to the world alive. This song brings healing to parents who have lost a child, and can be personalized by singing the child's name in the second verse. I began to write positive songs, with a message to overcome adversity and negativity today. It takes positive thinking and positive living, to be in harmony with our universe. So I write songs that will last a lifetime and send that kind of positive message to my listeners. I'm also blessed to hear the melodies as I write each song. I write positive songs of beauty, love, peace, strength, and happiness. That’s what we all are really searching for in life. It took me a long time to find it, so I just want to pass it on to everyone who hears my music. I was blessed to find a stellar award winner, Kevin Burroughs-Neeley, who produces my music. Today I have a beautiful family---that is POSITIVE Energy. I wrote “Positive Energy” to tap my listeners into the positive energy of the universe to bring success and prosperity. I wrote “Thank Some One” to thank all the great people that have made our world a better place, and for those who pass it on. This is from the divine. I wrote, " I Wonder If," to raise awareness about our planet, and global warming. Giving back love to our planet, because our planet loves us- by protecting the air, water, and land from pollution. I wrote, Mothers' Got To, to educate and elevate our world on the value and role of the mother. She helps God by bringing greatness into our world from her womb. She is the first teacher and we all come from her. She must be respected and educated with supreme wisdom in order to elevate her. This will make our world a better place. When mother is happy usually her children are too. When she is angry, oppressed and depressed, then usually her children are too. We will not rise unless mothers rise. I wrote God's Beauty to say that our world's creations, from the sun, moon, and stars, to the miracles in us, are things that show God's Beauty. I have more music to release, and I want to change and elevate our world positively, with my music. Please help me. Peace and love, Delores D. Walker.
