"Week in Pop: DeltaFoxx, Halo Circus, Whispertown"

Brazil's DeltaFoxx premiere their video and single, Can't Stop Loving You, Yeah!, brought to you by Popinigis and Quizzik just released from Family Jewels Records. Director Tarcisio Boquady takes the song's romantic eagerness to the texted meet ups of picnics, and random road planking and canoodling in excess. Boquady directs Tiago Pinheiro, Isabela Manara, Paulo Carpino, Kael Studart and Juliane Costa in what looks like a high end after school fashion show special, that makes the original 90210 look like it was made in the stone age.

The elaborate synth arrangement is given only the lushest shot compositions and freewheeling visual sequences. Completing the enduring heart sprung pursuits of Can't Stop Loving You, Yeah! hand in hand days in parks, modelling shoots and poses galore underscore the dance music minded lyrics. "I'm going to wait for you to call me tonight, just want to sit and talk to get things right, you know I want to spend my time by your side, right next to you until the day we die". This is your Brazilian free-loving Summer that is just beginning now in the Fall season.

The DeltaFoxx duo, Popinigis and Quizzik, described to us the translation of their global-Balearic beat of the whimsical Can't Stop Loving You Yeah! into a video of modern romance set in Brazil.

"The video reveals a daydreaming young man who's in love with a girl who doesn't correspond the way he expects. Ever been there too? Both are a part of a group of friends and, while she only sees him as a peer like the others, somehow he got caught up by her charms and can't get her off his mind. Exploring Brasilia’s unique open landscape urbanism and often imposing modernist architecture, the video depicts a mix of the main character's inner conflicts, his introspective desires and the daily friendly moments with his crew and beloved one."

"DeltaFoxx: DeltaFoxx EP"

DeltaFoxx: DeltaFoxx EP – The collaborative project of two DJs is the definition of a good time. Popinigis and Quizzik met years ago, often playing together on the party docket, and have finally made all our dreams come true with the release of their debut EP, DeltaFoxx EP. This EP is an explosive party waiting to happen; all packaged neatly in four vastly differing and amazing songs. Although this EP is barely a quarter of an hour, the second you hit the repeat button you are guaranteed to have a sundry experience. The great thing about the electro/dance/indie rock scene is every time you listen, you will get something new, diverse and exciting out of the listening experience. The convoluted and varied nature of the songs and the coinciding beats allow you to set the stage while DeltaFoxx happily provide the ambiance.

‘Love is Black’ is immense. You will have no choice but too dance, or at the very least tap your feet…and also probably clap your hands. The beat is transportive, and does dual duties of getting your blood pumping, and disguising the pseudo-depressing lyrics. The upbeat tempos and mind-blowing drum beats easily mask the pain and heartache, “Never should have left my heart/now ill be alone again/is it worth to continue life/am I fake or am I dead” They have effectively killed two birds with one stone, cathartically purging the evil, while still having a good time.

DeltaFoxx accomplish so much in just the first song, it is no surprise that the four songs on the EP feel like a fill length record. ‘Mask’ is the second song, and effectively keeps the party going. The repetitive and catchy hooks will stick in your head forever. Anytime there is a quite moment in your brain, you will be able to hear the hushed sounds of this song on a constant loop, even when you don’t know it’s there, it will be. ‘Honesty’ changes things up a little, using lyrics as the focal point. The steadfast tone and persistent timing of the vocals make this one of the best songs possibly ever, as far as EPs go. The correlation of honesty and misery is relatable and downright wonderful.

Finishing off DeltaFoxx EP is ‘Jump in the Sky’. A fitting ending that will leave you with the perfect opportunity to start the EP over. Let’s be honest, four songs of this caliber will without a doubt leave you craving more…9.0/10

"The XX- Fiction (DeltaFoxx Remix)"

The xx is my favorite band, hands down can’t beat it…well at the moment. I go through phases. With the amount of progressive house out there trying to pump me up and making my head have a migraine because I’m not rolling all the time, I need something to just be like “Hey, chill out, but don’t be a f**cking loser.” If you’re looking to not hate your life I suggest xx remixes. Can’t go wrong 9 times out of 9.

"Fences DeltaFoxx Remix"

DeltaFoxx has done up a remix of one of the best songs Phoenix ever has done! Fences! This is an Indie Dance type vibe right here and its quite the treat! - Noiseporn

"DeltaFoxx — Breakin’ It Up All Right"

The newest single from electronic indie duo DeltaFoxx, ‘Breakin’ It Up All Right’, is marked by futuristic synth rhythms, hypnotic eighth-triplets that ooze ambiance, face-shredding arena rock guitar, and of course, pumped dance beats.

With a sound like this, Fabio Popinigis and Quizzik seem determined to become the first Brazilians in space since Marcos Pontes.

It’s been a minute since DeltaFoxx last made noise with their much loved remixes of Phoenix and The xx, but it would appear they’ve been in the lab getting diligent. Their latest work comes in the form of a two-track (A and B side) single that at its best takes listeners briefly to somewhere other than planet Earth entirely.

The piece’s focus begins with intricate synth vibes and screaming guitar licks, in what sounds like a passing-of-torch from electronic indie heros MGMT. Think about the soundtrack as making the jump to hyperspace. The shredding and vibing is complimented by a mid-section breakdown into a chant-along chorus that’s just flat-out fun to say, “Come on DeltaFoxx, come on, come on, DeltaFoxx!” Doesn’t look like much, but wait till you hear it.

Eventually, focuses shift with the coming of the B-side, ‘Time.’ The track is a more straight-forward venture into electro/house beats and alt. rock lyrics and guitarwork. On the whole, this is not as immediately exciting as the introductory track, but perhaps a deeper cut lyrically, “Time isn’t true. Oh there are times when all the minutes seem to rain, or the life goes on frame-by-frame.” It is a B-side after all.

‘Breakin’ It Up All Right’ is essentially this: a promise of more good things to come. These are solid songs with good ideas, great synth rhythms and beat, and captivating guitarwork. DeltaFoxx is well on their way to fleshing out a sound capable of melting faces and frying circuits alike. Keep an eye out for their return.

"DeltaFoxx vs. Phoenix"

DeltaFoxx are two creative producers / DJs called Popingis and Quizzik. Unusual names for such a distinct duo, their jewel of the crown in ‘Fences’ by Phoenix is mixed by DeltaFoxx and Tomás Seferin. Mastered by Michael Fossenkemper at the Turtle Tone Studio in NYC, DeltaFoxx handle the mighty Phoenix with lots of subtle bite and vintage electronic magic. - Aerial Noise

"DeltaFoxx – DeltaFoxx EP"

Sifted through elegantly, and gently bathed in alternative bath oils.. DeltaFoxx return with a stimulating EP that moves like a succession of models on a catwalk and an unrestrained tally of positive number checks.

Taking you back to a mystical realm where MTV2 was king, DeltaFoxx resurrect any lost spirits that may exist and put a big red circle around 2013 and beyond for four most-excellent otherworldly tunes.

The ingenious productions simmer on over care of The XX and Killtronik, which makes this DeltaFoxx package simply celestial.

"DeltaFoxx, "Breakin' It Up All Right" - Brasília duo premieres the coolest single to call it off."

Brazil's DeltaFoxx premieres the A-side of their new single, Breakin' It Up All Right, b/w & Time that bridges jazzed up guitar electrics and an array of snazzy keyboards. Performed, recorded, mixed and produced by Fabio Popinigis and Quizzik at the Family Jewels Studio and mastered by Michael Fossenkemper at TurtleTone Studio in NYC, the two drop the coolest, self-assured break-up confidence heard anywhere. This single follows up their recent self-titled EP, where Brasilia rock and roller and Indiecent Music operator Popinigis and Red Bull Music Academy IDM hero Quizzik display the pop places where their respective divergent approaches and talents intersect between the guitar and keyboard communicated continuums. Having remixed contemporaries Killtronik, Phoenix, and The xx; the duo sets the dials for everything we continue to love about the end of the century/millennium's offerings, sound styles and electrified trends.

Synthesizer fog machines opens up the track as more keys are introduced to the situation. Bringing back the neon lit setting tones, Quizzik's punctuated beeping chirps prove to be the perfect foil for Popinigis' shredding skronk. The skills exhibited between the two hinge on an understanding of the agreed upon arrangements where the contemporary electro synthetics dovetail in seamless fashions with vintage keys and the cadence of classic guitar bursts that know when to take a back seat to the single's high drama.

"I can't take it, I can't take it, you say you wanna stay with me but I don't like your attitude, I wanna prove, when I take a look deep in your eyes I can see all your lies my lady, oh dear lover, don't ask me to stay any minute longer, because I'm leaving tonight, I'm breaking it up all right". This is the cue for the guitar, as if pulled from a record store's 80s vinyl bin from a time where amplified guitar was threatened with the new found discovered digital advancements and fads from back in the day. If their self-titled was an excercise in the musical dialogues of today, Breakin' It Up All Right is the next generation spawned from Popinigis and Quizzik's careful study of the Dire Straits' Money for Nothing playbook that indicated that era's cable transmissions of analogous cutting edge media. Never mind the "I'm leaving tonight" cool handed dismal as the new freedom and independence provide pause for the unabashed "come on DeltaFoxx" personal plug refrain of self-endorsement as those alliterative key beeps guide your way out the door. - Impose Magazine
