The second album by this smooth sax player.
Two years ago, Delton released his debut album ‘Just Let Me Loose’, and he got good publicity and reviews for it. Earlier this year he came back with his sophomore cd, under the direction and guidance of sax coach Walter Beasley. Delton begins with the cover ‘Forever Love’, a syrupy ballad for the romantic of heart, with a vocal refrain. Next comes the instrumental title track, which Delton co-wrote. ‘After The Club’ is sung by Isaac Jenkins, who put up the lyrics, and Delton co-wrote it. It has a slight hip-hop rhythm. Darren Brown composed and produced the ballad ‘Only In My Dreams’, and Angel Crescitelli wrote lyrics to it. Delton plays a mellow sax here. ‘I Prayed’ is a gospel song, and a job well done by Anthony Dixon, who composed it, wrote the lyrics, and sang it. Delton of course matches it with his soulful sax playing. Then comes Ron Staples who sings the ballad ‘All About You’ with a soulful voice. ‘Just Want To Be With You’ is a cover of a ballad by Brian McKnight, again romantic and silky. ‘This Love’ was composed by Darren Brown, Delton co-wrote it, and Isaac Jenkins brings in some soft vocals. On the ballad ‘Want To’ you can hear Isaac again, and the up-tempo instrumental ‘Just Let Me Loose’ concludes the album. Also included on the disc is a video clip of the track ‘After The Club’. It’s a pity, but I don’t have the necessary software to watch it. Delton is at his best on the soft tracks, where he seduces with his sensual sax.

"Quote by Michael J at KJZY, Santa Rosa CA"

“Delton showed star quality at an impromptu jazz jam at this year’s Jazz on the River Festival in October 2007. He seized the moment! Delton Walker is a force to be reckoned with – the big man puts his heart and soul into every note he plays. I fully expect to find this man riding high on the jazz charts with his profoundly emotional interpretations of the music he plays! Love you, man!” –Michael J, KJZY 93.7FM, Santa Rosa, CA (www.kjzy.com)

"CD Review of Just Let Me Loose by Pamela Black, KUNV"

CD Review of “Just Let Me Loose”:

“Delton has a smooth, comforting and melodious style and sound which can cross over to all genres of music. His flavor is ‘syrupy & sexy’ with a fiery and passionate flow.

Occasionally, I will make a recommendation for my listeners to add a CD to their collection and Delton was recommended several times for this master piece, “Just Let Me Loose”, to be added to the collection of many smooth jazz lovers of the Las Vegas Valley. As a smooth jazz DJ for almost 10 years, I believe Delton has made it in with some of our smooth jazz greats such as, Najee, Brian Savage, Pamela Williams, and Kirk Whalum!

You’ll be drawn into each and every groove as you crave for more and more of the very successful and savvy SAXMAN – Delton Walker!”
