Lyrics

Forever Doll

Written By: Katrina Skalland

I said I'd be your forever Doll- until these buttons broke.
I said I'd be there to take the fall- when your body broke
Don't you see that we're two of a kind- porcelain and washed in snow
don't you see that we're two of a kind- porcelain and ivory
You plucked each one- one by one- and you kept each one- all for your collection
My father said you would have my hands- if you were the man who knew his secrets- he swore you could break this spell if you kissed me well -that was bullshit- don't you see that we're two of a kind- porcelain and naive.
Don't you see that we're two of a kind- porcelain and lonely.
But you plucked each one- one by one- and you kept each one all for your collection- for your posesion
So you've got high cheek bones and social style- yeah you're washed in snow and I'm Ivory White-
Well you should know by now- these are social crimes of the simple mind.
I said I'd be your forever doll-
until these buttons broke.
I Swore I'd be there to take the fall I made an oath- you pushed me-
Don't you see that we make our own minds- to take the time to believe.
Don't you see that we make our own minds- we're two of a kind- I am leaving
