Pianist, arranger, composer, and producer Demetrius Nabors was born and raised in Detroit who is now a rising star on the national and international music scenes. Demetrius' musical influences include gospel, jazz, classical, and blues, all genres that can be heard in his performances and compositions.  His talents caught the attention of Motown recording artist, KEM, who signed Demetrius in 2012 as a music producer for Kemistry Records LLC.  

Demetrius' journey has been blessed with many accomplishments and plateaus. In the summer of 2010 he was one of 35 international jazz composers chosen to study for a week at Columbia University in Manhattan for the Jazz Composers Orchestra Institute. 

Demetrius is a two-time winner of the Detroit Music Award (2011, 2012) in the category of Outstanding Gospel/Christian Musician. Armed with a Bachelor's and Masters Degree in Jazz Studies and Improvisation from the University of Michigan. 

Demetrius talents have taken him to Europe and Africa and were showcased in a recent episode of the Arsenio Hall Show. He has released critically acclaimed solo CDs ("A Journey Within Part I, II, and Christmas with Krayon").

“A Journey Within Part 1� is my debut album as a leader. The album is rooted in contemporary jazz and it reflects my musical journey. The compositions are derived from gospel, jazz, rhythm and blues, classical and life experiences.
