Feeling a bit camera shy

Hailing from the gritty streets of America’s Iron City (Pittsburgh, PA) Dem HNG Boys are ready to bring life back into Hip-Hop music. For the past few years everybody’s been talking about the death of Hip- Hop and the lack of creativity, well recently there’s been a rise in Hip-Hop Culture sprouting up in the Heart of Pittsburgh, PA. One of the main contributors of this movement is Rapper/CEO Dammion Bundridge A.K.A. BIG Bun or BUN Gizzle of HNG Records. BIG Bun has been putting his thing down now for about the past 8 years just serving his audience with real gutter and hardcore Hip-hop music. As far as comparisons are concerned there aren’t really too many groups or artist the fall in the same category of Dem HNG Boys. Their music is a refreshing break from the atypical saturated, manufactured music that everybody is getting sick and tired off.

BIG Bun’s roots started back in the early days of rap music with the old school influences such as; Rhakim, Special Ed, EMPD, Slick Rick, and LL Cool J just to name a few. “I would listen to their music, and memorize all the lyrics, I knew those songs like the back of my hand,” said BIG Bun. At the age of 30 BIG Bun has a lot going for his self. The self motivated businessman has several businesses and is currently at the top of his game. Pittsburgh, PA was recently the home of the Underground Hip-hop Awards ceremony and is also the launching pad for America’s next revolution in rap music. This city is the birth place of legendary icons such as George Benson, Shanice Wilson and the late great R&B/ Disco Songstress Phyllis Hyman.

As a child BIG Bun has always had aspirations to of doing something important with his life. He grew in a rough neighborhood called The Hill District in Pittsburgh’s Uptown area. Growing up BIG Bun was exposed to the streets early on. As he got older he vowed to work as hard as he could to change his situation. It would be Bun’s love and passion for music that would allow him to creatively express his feeling and channel is energy into art. “I remember my first projects, they were a little rusty, but I just stayed writing music and lived in the studio”. While BIG Bun was in the studio perfecting his skills he was hit with some critically losses when he had to deal the loss of his Grandmother who raised him and then also deal the loss of both parents. BIG Bun took what he learned from his family and dedicated his time and skills to representing them by making a name for his self in the music business.

Big Bun is actively scheduling tour dates across the country, and building a massive fan base on the internet through marketing. BIG Bun is currently in the studio working on his forthcoming album project called “Bun Gizzle” that is still under construction. You can check out Big Bun and Dem HNG Boys at or get HNG music from I-Tunes and CD Baby. Also be on the look out for www. (COMING SOON).
