Unbelievably refreshing and unabashedly honest this undeniably hilarious comedian was born to entertain. With subjects ranging from Mules to Man’s Invention of Sex, De'Mun Oakley is what you didn’t realize that you've been craving so badly. Enlightening as he entertains, De’Mun has found that the most obscure subject matter bonds the least likely people.
His very first performance was for his High School’s senior class at their annual cookout. "I left for college the next week… so if I was really terrible they would never have to see me again". To his surprise his classmates loved his performance.
De'Mun’s perseverance paid off as he traveled from Richmond, Virginia to Manhattan, New York making it through the ranks as a finalist in Orb-e/Salem’s Nationally Recognized Talent Search. Performing for industry leaders such as Russell Simmons, Kevin Hart and Bill Bellamy this performance would prove to be a monumental occasion. Once onstage in the Hammerstein Ballroom the crowd welcomed his offbeat Southern brand of humor with shouting and showering of free drinks, unfortunately this crowd was not laughing.
After that experience his comedic style was reinvented, promising to always excite, enlighten and entertain only this time with the edge of honesty. Today with a renewed look on comedy and an insatiable hunger to take the comedy world by storm, De'Mun Oakley is the next comic you may have yet to hear from but are dying to hear.
