2004 - He launched his self-titled debut EP at the 2004 Tamworth Country Music Festival - promptly selling out the first pressing - and in March 2004 he scored a publishing deal with Shock Music Publishing Pty Ltd.
2008 - After a year in the recording studio with the brilliantly talented Michael Roberts (‘Black Crow Callin’ – Karl Broadie) Den’s much anticipated debut album, RED DUST was released on Vitamin Records on November 3.
2010 – Release of the long awaited ‘Black Swamp Road’ Record. This record gives some indication of his roots in traditional American music.

Iain Shedden (the Weekend Australian) ‘…Bob Evans, The Flood and Den Hanrahan were among those to add a little sparkle to the'Tamworth' proceedings’

Bill Chambers: ‘I think Den is one of our great Australian songwriters with a powerful voice to match and his live show blows me away…’

Pete Paterson, Perfect Pitch publishing: “Watching Den play reminds you of the reason you like music. He has the passion and the talent”

Stuart Olds, “…Hanrahan has the vocal presence to transform standard beer joint country rock into something above par – and its damn good fun! Yeehaa!”

Den Hanrahan was born kicking and screaming and he’s not about to change. Likened to artists such as Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt and Gillian Welch, Den’s music is his version of bluegrass and contemporary up tempo acoustic music. Born of one-night stands and roadhouses He’s not afraid to take his audience along for the ride. With his gutsy vocals, lively guitar playing and raw, stripped back style, His gigs are bold and upbeat, yet he maintains an intimacy with the audience as he weaves his way through tales of the lonely life on the road and the characters he has met traveling on it.
