I shall never forget when my grandson Clayton was leaving our home one afternoon and he said to me, "You are love to me!" It was at that very moment my songwriting career began. Clayton's words touched me so that I knew I had to do something with them.
At that time I had been composing sacred and secular choral music for 20 years plus which I still do to this very day. I have done very well in this genre but I really felt "You are Love to Me" needed its own path. I started to take songwriting courses as well as studying lyrics and music of some very fine artists.
My passion for songwriting continues. I love finding a most meaningful and positive story to share with others. I have found like with my choral writing if the words are good, the words will write the music.
