DDJ has worked for over 20 years playing clubdates, recording dates, jingles, etc. in NYC and Nashville. She works with professional musicians who have done world wide tours with major artists. Her music is jazz oriented, ecclectic with a little bit of Soul and Broadway.


Denise D'Angelo Jones, an award winning singer/songwriter started playing out solo, (voice/piano/guitar) in Greenwich Village in the mid 80's. While in NYC, she worked extensively as a clubdate singer and session singer for jingles (Hasbro Toys, NY Life, Channel 12 News, USO, etc.), children's CDs, and with various artists. Musically, she has been influenced by: Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Vernon Duke, Ivan Lins, Irving Berlin, David Frishberg and Cole Porter (to name a few.)DDJ' songs represent a combination of warmth, heart-felt emotions, and hilarious themes about everyday life. Over the years she has worked with several Grammy winning producers, arrangers and musicians in NYC, but to the masses, is still relatively unknown.
