Denise Locke plays music that spans the backroads of her stomping grounds in Texas to the streets of Nashville,Tn. You can hear the undercurrent of the blues and gospel to the story telling songwriters that she has loved since her childhood.


Denise grew up in Stephenville, Tx. She's been writing songs since she was 13. She was on the road singing gospel music with her family while she was getting a classical piano performance degree at Tarleton State University. Denise played everything from Thelonious Monk to Chopin in college. You could catch her listening to Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Tom T. Hall, Roger Miller, Don Williams, Billie Holiday, and the list goes on. She moved to Nashville after graduating college and has been doing lots of different kinds of work. She is in her third publishing contract, Denise has played on the road with various artists, she does what she's gotta do to keep doing the music thing. She's in the process of making her first LP which will be ready in December of 2007.
