"No Be An Arsonist rated 9th best album of the year"

"Some days you just need to hear sloppy, yelling, punk comedians that are as much Neil Young as they are straight stoner rock. This is real garage rock with enough heart not to try emulating anyone else......It's loose, it's good, and any band that does a song about a loser called "(Expletive) Larry" has to be good. And it has easily the best album cover of the year."
- Contra Costa Times

"No Be An Arsonist Review"

"3.5 stars. Don't feel bad if you've never heard of this Boston band because hardly anyone in Boston has either. But from deep inside the muddy bowels of the garage rock underground come The Bludlows with a debut album that, despite its shortcomings, is a genuinely exciting record.....Part Rolling Stones, part Jon Spencer and part Johnny Thunders, No Be An Arsonist is hard evidence of a promising band with astronomical potential. If The Bludlows can tighten up a bit, and I mean the hooks and not the playing, then the garage underground may have its next big thing."

No Be An Arsonist (2005)
Americaville (2009)

Our newest album was submitted to radio stations on June 5th; we've been played on WZBC and WESU, with more to come (our two singles are Command Her Boogie and Blockade).

The Bludlows are now one of the pre-eminent rock bands of the greater Boston, Massachusetts area. Founded in the late 1990s by D. Hardwick, their first album "No Be an Arsonist" rose to high acclaim as one among the top ten best albums of 2005. Their latest release, “Americaville” was recorded and mixed by Mike Cafferey (the notorious drum engineer on Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.”) in NYC at Monster Island Records, and mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering in Newton, MA. The Bludlows line-up features Hardwick , Denny of the Kennedys, TC Mulhern, and Rob.
