"Denzil Porter releases his energy "Time Soon Come""

Denzil Porter is much more than another Bronx spitter. The tongue-twisting, harrowing flows Porter brings to the table put him ahead of other New York emcees. Before his Denzil Porter days, he dropped three tapes from 2008 to 2011 under the moniker Young Flame. Just under a decade in the game, and Porter has mastered his style: conscious, action movie ear-candy. - EARMILK

"Denzil Porter performs his “Time Soon Come” single at Sofar NYC"

Denzil Porter is a rapper out of the Bronx, New York. Not too long ago, he released a video of him performing his “Time Soon Come” single at Sofar NYC.
Sofar NYC puts on more than 50 shows every month in New York City. On May 24, 2018, they captured Porter’s intimate performance in front of an international audience of music lovers. Porter, seated on a stool with his hat twisted backward, casually raps while a nearby musician, @seantaylor1987, plays the trumpet.

"DENZIL PORTER - TIME SOON COME (LIVE @ SOFAR SOUNDS NYC)"

Sofar Sounds is an incredible platform that is shining light on some of the most underrated artists in the music game and have stretched their resources on an international scale. Their New York edition in May starred the young North Bronx star Denzil Porter. He serenaded the crowd with his no-thrills performance of 'Time Soon Come' accompanied by Sean Taylor on the horns section. The track is a standout single off his 2017 project 'Semantics of Mr. Porter' that really lends itself to this format allowing the viewer to really take in the art behind the words.

"Two MCs Denzil Porter & Oswin Benjamin Try To Eat Chris Rivers’ Lunch In A Cypher Turned Raw Battle"

Denzil Porter has worked extensively with Rivers, and was chosen by the Source as an inductee into its 2015 class of Unsigned Hype artists. All three represent the Bronx and performed in a recent TBP cypher as O.C.D. (aka the Three Wise Men), but as Heads will see, their performance took the cypher concept to another place entirely.

"Hip hop and expression: In person with Bronx rapper Denzil Porter"

Growing up in the Bronx is definitely a huge part of influencing what I do because the stories, everything we go through, from the good to the bad, from the crimes to the jobs. Everything, just you know, the struggles in the Bronx and the good times in the Bronx make these stories that help me write. I’m a storyteller, so that’s what I do best. It goes hand in hand. - 4Over4 / Jukely

"Special Delivery: Best NYC Hip-Hop"

Denzil Porter, “The Unknown Caller”

While some rappers gravitate away from regional sound, other emcees flock to it. Cue Denzil Porter, whose soulful, instrumentation-heavy sound and echoed flow is reminiscent of hip-hop’s founding age—and, in some ways, evocative of his contemporaries, Pro Era. Unlike a lot of the emcees on this month’s edition who waver between rapper and singer, we have no doubts that Porter is a bona fide emcee. - Village Voice

"Next To Blow Artist Denzil Porter"

Denzil Porter grew up in the north Bronx, NY with a passion for hip hop music from a young age. In high school, Porter began freestyling and battling, defeating all competitors. In 2004, he founded Wreck House Entertainment, which produces music out of his in-house studio and hosts parties and events. With three mixtapes under his belt: On My Way Home, Live From The Other Side, and Home Made Music, and with his forthcoming project, Porter’s Pot, on the way, Porter is definitely a force to be reckoned with. He has performed alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar, 360, XV, Angel Haze, and Beanie Sigel, and was named one of the best performances at SXSW for 2012 by The Smoking Section. Also noted as one of Peter Rosenberg’s favorite up-andcoming artists to watch out for in the future, he has performed at SOB’s in NYC for Hot 97’s “Who’s Next Live” showcase - HipHopWeekly.com

Bio

"Hailing from North Bronx NY, Denzil Porter is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Denzil Porter sounds like an artist fresh out of the golden era of Hip Hop. Adding substance to his witty lyrics, catchy hooks, quotes, and highly charismatic performances. What Denzil aims to achieve with his music is to allow its listeners to be inspired and to uplift them and others around them. Denzil may not be your typical conscientious rapper, he derives his lyrics from his experiences and allows his actions to tell his story rather than his words. The music captivates the mind and takes you into the world he envisions and you’ll always leave with " -MTV

"When I get a feeling, or in a mood, or something that happened at that moment… a song is something that stamps that moment for me, and also stamps the moment for the listener who relates."- Denzil Porter
