Deonte Keitt formally known as Chalant or ThisisChalant was born in the nation’s capital and has been building his incredible buzz with the local music scene and beyond. Deonte got his start in the music business playing with go-go bands, Go-Go being a popular local music art form in the DC metro area, before embarking on a solo rap career that has promise of ageless appeal infused with thriving lyrics and his self appointed style of Conscious Swagg. D.Keitt uses his versatility as a former band leader in Go-Go with his uncanny ability as an hip hop emcee to fuse tunes you cant help but play over and over again. Raised in the tough inner city of Washington D.C. Deonte uses his surroundings and life experiences to create compelling and soul-felt tracks. Influenced by hip-hop heavyweights such as 2Pac, Jay-z, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Nas, Eminem, Kanye West, and Lupe Fiasco, D. Keiit is looking to cement his name in music history.
