Feeling a bit camera shy

2010 sees the arrival of West London band Deportivo, and their hotly anticipated debut single ‘Girl Next Door’ released through Arclite Recordings
After roughly 7524 cups of coffee, 2521 cups of tea, 9354 Marlboro Lights, tears, tantrums, gigs galore and producing 20 plus tracks of great, thumping, joyous and classic English pop, Deportivo have stepped up to the podium like a wounded but determined English footballer ready to challenge the hordes of skinny jean wearing drama school drop-outs to bring good, honest, sincere pop music back to the fold.
With heavy influences from the likes of Squeeze, XTC, Madness, Blur and many more, Deportivo’s songs sound like they were written during a particularly good seaside holiday in 1984 combined with a three-week bender full of romantic liaisons on 0-0 draws in the less salubrious drinking holes and back streets of any major city in the UK.
If you want a band that will make you smile and hum on a packed train or while you sit motionless in another traffic jam on your way to work on a Monday morning, it is really time that you had a listen to Deportivo.
Produced by Arclite Productions and Mixed by Yoad Nevo, ‘Girl Next Door’ is available for download as part of a 4 track bundle on ITUNES/PLAY.COM/AMAZON/7 DIGITAL...
