This multi-talented professional producer known as DeVoe’, has been an underground producer since 1996. DeVoe’s unique background brings forth a powerful sound exclusively his own. Currently residing in L.A. County, less than 13 miles from where the South Central Los Angeles, Watts and Compton connect. This seed of underground talent has potential for growth that is immeasurable. The decade of struggle, patience, success and perseverance proves to show a bright future for this young entrepreneur.

Born Devon Reed, this fruit from a large family tree rooted in Texas and Illinois has not fallen far. “Being from a musically inclined family has left him very different from most, especially when you take into account what was going on in the world and our own backyard. DeVoe’ was faced with the struggles of growing like any other, but his atmosphere was more culturally diverse.” With a bloodline deep into Blues, Jazz, Soul and Funk this talented young man explored his natural inclination to rhythm. 1990 began the vision of production with DJ. Weasul (Carson, CA.). In 1992 in music production, he meets Gordon Jones. After, DeVoe’ wanted to continue pursuing his love for rhythm while furthering his talents.

In 1996 DeVoe’ was faced with the ability to producing his own tracks with Travis Townsend. There he made a fraternal bond that brought himself, Voe’z Product Productions and DeRe Entertainment (Carson, CA.) together for numerous projects. Eager to further his career DeVoe’ transferred from student to teacher. While still studying, he focused on digital media and film to stay ahead of the digital curve that he thought would impact the industry tremendously. “As a student DeVoe’ still had to pay for studio time so he adapted to the situation. DeVoe’s father always told him to rise and shine and make his contribution to the world; DeVoe’ will do no less than that”. In 1999 DeVoe’ continued studying in Carson where he started selling his original audio.

After one year of “Hustling CD’s, DeVoe’ started making his talents pay off. He opened his garage as a studio and recorded some of Carson’s underground talent. They started calling him the Dr. Dre of Carson cause of the sound he produced like the great producer himself.

While starting his own company, DeRe Entertainment, DeVoe’ continued his own projects, Carsonal Compilation, Musicology and Tracks of Combo L.A. tion (The Sequel of Musicology). The streets of Los Angeles took interest in three hits off of DeVoe’ “Tracks of ComboL.A.tion” first official release entitled “Trip” performed by Toi Boxe of Dallas, TX. The three hits included “That’s How We Roll” performed by Quatta Pound of Gardena, CA. and, “Paper Stacks” performed by Poppa Choppa of Arlington, TX. DeVoe’ was appreciative and took it in stride. He wanted to keep doing and keep going.

DeVoe’ continued to pursue his goals. His love for producing music in everything he touches from mix tapes to working with other artists… DeVoe’ still will grab the microphone on occasion but has found his niche in writing music. “Even when DeVoe’ did his first 1999 album “Tha Undacoat Soundtrack” it was only to really advertise the beats. Now that some of DeVoe’s work is getting attention from peoples’ ears like never before. DeVoe’ is strong and grew to other states across the US all the way too the UK. He’s increasingly optimistic about the future. Above all things he wants to continue improving his relationship with the All-knowing by continuing to read and meet people. DeVoe’ works in his private studio where he has produced for numerous artists. DeVoe’ brings his unique flavor to the profession and is destined to be a powerful force.
