Bio
Derek Darker (born 23rd August 1989) is an Irish singer/songwriter based in London. Darker was born in Dublin, Ireland before moving to London in to pursue a career in music. He began singing at a very young age, mainly in school plays and as part of the primary school choir. During his teen years he suffered from stage fright and abandoned singing until the age of 18 when he sang as part of a benefit concert at his Secondary School. From there, he began to invest his time in constant songwriting and working with different musicians across Dublin. Having left University on hold he moved to London. In November 2011 he set up his YouTube channel which now has over 26,000 hits. His earliest memories of music are listening to Oasis with his brother as a young child and hating them only to realise during his teen years that he had a keen love for bands such as these and the fact they performed original material. Whilst music is his biggest passion, he also speaks 5 languages and has a deep love for crisps, cheese and pitta breads(with just about anything on them).
