Gospel artist composer, arranger, and artist, Derek Smith is announcing the release of his first Christmas album.
The album will contain Smith's compositions as well as a performance by the Gospel Miraclettes, a group he manages and prepares arrangements for under his SKD company.

This vision was given to Derek Smith in 03 and has come to pass. He has been serving over 25 years in ministry. In 03, God started revealing himself through song. Given a charge to elevate the nation with one song at time, the pieces of the puzzle started coming together. "God has endowed Derek with a gift to touch people no matter of color, race, or religious beliefs." The much anticipated song "Change" has become one of the city's number one talked about song. This song sends the message, no matter where you are in life you have a responsibility to make necessary changes.
His experience has awarded him to be on stages with, "Keith Wonderboy Johnson, Evelyn Turrentine Agee, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Luther Barnes, The Dixie Humbingbirds, Tommy Ellison, The McDonald Sisters, Betty Wright, Clarence Carter and many other great artist, major and independent.
