"Local Band Roundup"

Der Hitmeisters are incomparable to anything I have ever witnessed before. The sound they put forth at Murphy's last Friday night was like nothing I have ever heard coming from a radio station, an iPod or a large animal being hit by a cement mixer. Their sound is one for the ages--the Dark Ages. I wish these lads well as they attempt to grasp the gold ring. And, in the spirit of helping them, I have a suggestion which might help audiences get a better grasp on what they might be hearing at a Der Hitmeisters concert: Add an "S" before the "H."
-Ron Sylvester - Springfield (Mo.) News Leader

Der Hitmeisters are not cool. We never have been; more than likely, we never will be. Der Hitmeisters play original music in the way that seems the most natural to them: with a lot of heart and mostly in tune.

Der Hitmeisters play every show with the enthusiasm of a kid hearing he does not have to go to school because it is a "Snow Day." We make friends every time we play. We love to mingle and talk to the folks who have decided to spend some of their valuable time with us and money on us. That is why Der Hitmeisters will never be cool. We do not have some manufactured attitude. We love playing music and we love making people happy. So, look for us at a dive bar near you. Or maybe at a house party. Or at a bat mitzvah. Maybe even at the big club in town. Whatever pays the bills.

Don't look back, Der Hitmeisters might be gaining on you.
