Lyrics

Hey Sean

Written By: Dermot Lambert

Hey Sean,
I couldn't do the things you done
instead I travelled halfway round the world
for just one Sunday in the sun.
and when my dreamclouds came along
I set my eyes on distant skies
forgetting everyone.

If I was even half the man you showed me to be
I'd be twice the man I am.

Hey Sean,
I was somewhere lost in time.
Stranger laden lonely roads
and you show up on mine.
Hey yeah, but you were there right from the start,
I was searching cities
while you were hiding in my heart.

If I was even half the man you showed me to be
I'd be twice the man I am.
If I was even half the man you showed me to be
I'd be twice the man I am.
Hey Sean.

Ssshhh.... here comes your train
every time I hear that sound I'm just a boy again.
yeah yeah, here comes your train at last,
No matter how late it might be, it always seems too fast.

If I was even half the man you showed me to be
I'd be twice the man I am.
If I was even half the man you showed me to be
I'd be twice the man I am.
Hey Sean

Love Rainbows

Written By: Dermot Lambert

There's a dark lonely cloud
hanging over us now,
and yeah we're sorry when it comes,
but we're still sorry when it's gone.

We complain about the rain
but we all love rainbows
and I love you.

Baby I don't know what's ahead
or what's just around the bend,
if there'll be many tears to cry,
but if you can do it, so can I.

We complain about the rain
but we all love rainbows
and I love you.

Disused Roads

Written By: Dermot Lambert

Disused roads led me astray
and I got too blind to see,
I got stuck and covered in muck,
and I lost most of my dreams.
I got back on the highway
but everyone was gone,
there's new people approachin'
but I don't know anyone.

Disused roads won't take me home
and it took this long to see,
but I can't have too many regrets
cos they're no use to me.
I got back on the highway
it was deep and dark in night,
frozen stiff in fear
like a rabbit in headlights.

Disused roads
and short-cuts hacked
and sand-trails to the sea,
they wear you out and they break your back,
but still promise mystery.
I thought that you were with me,
thought you were right behind,
but I'm back on the highway,
and you've been gone for miles and miles and miles.

Yeah I'm back on the highway
All I want to see
is a friendly face
so I can wake with someone who knows me.
Yeah I'm back on the highway
and I wish you hadn't gone,
maybe I should be wishing I hadn't stayed away so long.

Fade Into The Morning Sun

Fade Into The Morning Sun
Dermot Lambert

Sweetness, it’s time to beat this.
It’s time to leave it - before it defeats us.
It’s time to move on - no more trying.

I’m ready - if you are,
To fade into the morning sun with last night’s stars

The first kiss was filled with magic,
but me and you knew we couldn’t have it.
So now it’s time to move on - no more crying

I’m ready - if you are,
To fade into the morning sun with last night’s stars
I’m ready
I’m ready
To fade into the morning sun with last night’s stars

As If God Was Talking

As If God Was Talking
Dermot Lambert

It’s like as if angels wings were pulling me down,
It’s like as if angels tears were making me drown.
I try not to think of the love that I have for you
But I do.

It’s like as if God was talking - making me sleep,
Pushing me gently forward - while I’m afraid of my dreams
I try not to think as I’m closing my eyes
Of you
But I do

Twinkle Twinkle Satellite

Written By: Dermot Lambert

Twinkle twinkle satellite

Sell your dreams out, oh and how,
You're from the wrong wrong side of town,
watch the ice settle on stars
melt your heart.
Tiny you, all dressed in night,
saw a whole new side of life,
Twinkle twinkle satellite.

And it seems to me as though,
it was a hundred years ago
that I promised you my love.
And it seems to me back then
we were two lost and lonely friends,
wondering where the end would bring us.
Twinkle twinkle satellite,
twinkle twinkle satellite.

A Bank In Brazil

Written By: Dermot Lambert

A Bank In Brazil
We robbed a bank in Brazil
and got away with it
and no one got killed.
We spent our money on toys
and walked home
and held hands and swore
that we'd take the world and live forever
or go down together.

Our finest hour is maybe gone
maybe we're fools to still go on
maybe we were wrong.
We lied, we thieved, we begged and borrowed,
play today and pay tomorrow,
well now tomorrow's come
and I'm afraid that all we've done
is lose our way.

We rode the roadman's coloured car,
and sprayed our names on it,
but still I wish that this
careless heartless loveless dreamless place
was not the only place for us.

Our finest hour is maybe gone
maybe we're fools to still go on
maybe we were wrong.
We lied, we thieved, we begged and borrowed,
play today and pay tomorrow,
well now tomorrow's come
and I'm afraid that all we've done
is lose our way.

We robbed a bank in Brazil
and the sad thing is
that we're in there still.
