DERRICK HART press:

"...a profound wailing on behalf of anyone who has ever suffered before, blooming into some incomprehensible sonic victory..." -Resting Bell

"Nice instrumentation and vocals. Reminded me of (Rex) in a very good way. I will most definitely have the rest of the band take a listen." - Jonathan, Iron & Wine

"Awesome!" - Simon Joyner

"...comes to a boil quickly, running hard and metallic like blood in a cyborg’s ears — as such, it’s reminiscent of Lou Reed’s classic Metal Machine Music, a hard-Zen approach to ferocity that at once suggests active violence and something frozen still. And then a bell rings. And we’ve started anew..." - Marc Weidenbaum, Disquiet

"Welcome." - Robin Williams

"Diabolical!!!" - Ron Wax, The Liars

"His unique blend of singer/songwriter and experimental sound craftsmanship makes him stand out from the norm of the indie genre. Hart is among the most honest of writers in his lyrics and delivers them with powerful yet sensitive hound-dog-esq vocals that can bring the listener to tears." - Justin Robert Wierbonski, Lunar Flower Records

"I... I... I have nothing to say... except that I LOVE THIS!!!" -Rodney Anonymous, The Dead Milkmen

"I am following the enigmatic Derrick Hart for quite a while now. Equally rooted in the chromatics of US-American Folklore and off-key Pop music, Hart is blessed with a wonderful voice and musical talent that makes his compositions shine like nothing else I heard in a while. His four track "Songs from a cross (the sea)" EP is probably the shortest 12rec. release ever - but one you do not want to miss." - Sven Swift, 12rec

"...for anyone who has ever stood hypnotized by a 'My Bloody Valentine' song, but empathizes with Aphex Twin. it's ethereal and haunting, never predictable but always touching." -Wazid Abdur, The Creative Uncommons

"Daniel Johnston can be a tricky bugger to cover, but Derrick Hart does an excellent job with his own take on ‘True Love Will Find You in the End". In 20 hours, he played all the instruments, recorded, mixed, mastered, spliced the video together from public domain 8mm footage, (arranged) the theme tune, sang the theme tune." -Dave Artrocker

"For us he’s kind of a Bob Dylan of the netlabel scene, because his music is 'classic' somehow." -Acoustic Firework Records
