Derrick has a full album that he sells at his shows. The Album is called "A Guitar in Black". He is also to be included in an upcoming national compilation from Quickstar productions called "Chill Out". Currrently, Derrick is gaining more and more notoriety, and will eventually expand his coverage to the radio airwaves.

Derrick Mendonca has been playing guitar for over 10 years. Starting out in high school, he was in a Heavy Metal band as the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and the primary lyricist for them.
After a few years, his musical tastes began to soften, and it was starting to become increasingly apparent in his guitar compositions. Eventually, feeling weary from the band going nowhere, Derrick quit and set out on his own as a solo performer.
Always a fan of any beautiful guitar work, his very broad influences include: The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Ted Nugent, and Megadeth, and Bob Dylan, to name a few.
Derrick has been performing in the Phoenix Metro Valley as a solo act for nearly 3 years. He is a regular favorite at many venues, due to the combination of his guitar and vocal styles both sublime and gritty.
