Bio
Descalso plays upbeat, accelerated reggae music. Most of the songs are party atmosphered, catchy and dance orientated. We take pride in our musicianship and were first brought together by our love to jam. All members of the band have contributed to songwriting which makes for a refreshing blend of diverse material. We enjoy the balance of expressing oursleves both purely musically (solos, jams, etc.) and through creating songs (lyrics, and putting together musical ensembles). Cristian and Gaelan are first year university students, while Paul and Neil are in grade 12. We all went to the same high school so farmiliarity and common passion for music brought us together in March, last spring.
Influences include, Paco De Lucia, Sublime, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Jaco Pastorius, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The smiths, and Thomas Lang. We all love Pink Floyd and Tool.
