About Descendant

Descendant was formed in Winter 2006 by Richard Dale, Jr in Denton, TX. After recording an initial demo as mainly a one-piece utilizing a drum machine, the first original lineup was eventually completed in early 2009. The band then immediately began playing live shows and has recorded their new demo entitled 'Black Omen' which was completely recorded, produced and engineered by Descendant.
Descendant is one of the most promising metal outfits DFW has seen since the "golden-age" of DFW metal in the 90's.
They are currently mixing/mastering their debut album, which is expected to be released in the Summer of 2011. The album is being produced by Descendant, with member Evan Qualls serving as audio engineer. The self-titled album is very anticipated by metal fans in the area.
