Feeling a bit camera shy

One would wonder why a group of five guys, who have found themselves running in circles most of their lives, trying to escape from the shadows of a horrific black cloud would continue on day after day. A lesser bunch of men, void of strength in their mind would have run far away, but for us the trials and tribulations feed our determination states vocalist Jay. So it is evident with one listen to the music of Destroyed By Anger. Strength is the blood that flows through Destroyed By Anger, it is everywhere around these their personas, their music, their live performance and perhaps most importantly, their determination to succeed.

D.B.A. are warriors. Hailing from Long Island, NY, this band has survived physical abuse, illness, death, drugs, and depression amongst other things. Their music is strong and they are rarely content. This structure has provided D.B.A. to build themselves to a new level, to overcome and continue to push on and win the hearts of thousands of fans around the world.

D.B.A. have recorded two demos since their formation in 1997, as well as two independently released records through Vulture Entertainment, ltd. Each recording has shown growth and innovation. Each has enabled D.B.A. to secure the undying love of devoted fans around the world. The results are evident, with over 10,000 copies sold. Radio showed their love, after the release of ├ČOffsetting the Balance in 2000, the album garnered spots inside of the top 25 on CMJ, FMQB and Gavin. D.B.A. has been hand-picked to play such prestigious events as MacRock, Concrete marketing showcases, and the House of Blues (Orlando, FL). This year, newly reformed death metal pioneers Suffocation have chosen D.B.A. to be their support act for their comeback tour in August of 2003. D.B.A. are a live band! It is a rarity to see a band with so much style and conviction, so much truth and power, so moving and so captivating, but D.B.A. are in their element on the stage and this is exactly what you get each and every time you see D.B.A. live.

After replacing their longtime drummer in May of 2003, and finding themselves labeless (Vulture Entertainment closed their doors in 2002), D.B.A. have regrouped with a new vigor, intense fresh approach and a desire stronger then before. In July of 2003, they have entered Fullforce studios to record a new three song demo. The three songs, Tourniquet Fantasy, Through the Fire, and Last to Know continue to bring the heart of hardcore, the dynamics of rock and the ferocity of metal in a way that remains uncontested by all. The big guitars, crushing drums, thundering bass and aggressive yet sincere sound of the vocals will prove once again that D.B.A. are a band with staying power, a band with truth and a band worth listening to!
