Born and raised in Central California, Destructo Bunny was influenced by a variety of musical styles and artists of many different mediums...
With the Beatles, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Country Joe & The Fish, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Allamn Brothers, The Beach Boys and many more 60's/70's artists constantly playing in his families home while growing up, the message of our Social Connection and Responsibility to eachother was seeping into his young impressionable mind... Deep into his subconscious... and is prevalent in his music today. Growing up in the 80's and 90's in California Destructo Bunny was surrounded by the Hip Hop/Rap culture becoming more and more popular everyday as the world turned. He found an affinity for the passion and confidence the music portrayed. Influenced by the likes of Slick Rick, Run DMC, KRS-One, the Beastie Boys, Too Short, Freestyle Fellowship, NWA (Eazy E, Dr. Dre, Yella, MC Ren and Ice Cube), Two Live Crew, Brotha Lynch Hung, Bone, DJ Shadow, Latyrx, Blackaliscious, The Living Legends, Company Flow, The Visionaries, Super Market, Kool Keith, LPG, Stones Throw and many more.... DB grew as an individual, finding himself within the intellect and brilliance of the rhyme structure and metaphors used by the lyricists he grew up on... learning to connect with his audience through their similarities and differences. Being surrounded by his fellow peers of different styles from Indie rock, EMO, Folk, Country, Jazz, Rock, Hard Core, Reggae, DB reflects a myriad of human qualities and emotion. Performing for the past 13yrs. Destructo Bunny has played more than 500 shows, helping develop the Energy and Stage Presence that has made him a house hold name on the West Coast. DB currently resides in Ocean Beach CA, where he's continuing to build up steam to take the world by STORM! Ready or not here he comes......
