Detonator are a unique Aussie rock outfit from the Central Coast of Australia. Their sound differs from other rock bands due to their desire for melody and the search for heart pumping hooks. Detonator have many fast foot to the floor rock songs however, also have many slow contepory ballads. This has attracted a wider variety of listeners and reveals true sense of composition. Detonator formed at the start of 2004 and have been working flat out ever since. All members come from different musical back grounds which is the reason for such vareity and flare. Detonators influences include: AC/DC, The Foo Fighters, The living end, Silverchair and Green day. Detonator has shared the stage with drummer Mick Smiths previous band One Dollar Short, Thirsty Merc, Aibourne, Something with numbers and The Hell City Glamours. Detonator are a sure bet for a great friday or saturday night out giving you hard edged rock n roll leaving you feeling energised and fufilled.
