Recored their first demo at Sony Sudios in New York for winning NextBig Star Competion in 2000. In 2001 recorded second Demo entitled Work in Progress. In 2004 they released their first full length LP entitled I94. Detour has released their newest Cd titled Brendans Cross in July of 2006. Detour has sold many cds on CdBaby.com and many singles through CdBaby Digital Distribution and ITunes. Detour has sold thousands of cds at their live shows and continues to get radio airplay in the midwest.

Detour formed in 1999 with influences from Elvis , The Beatles to Boston and U2 they bring back great Rock-n-Roll in its truest form. Very early they entered and won Ed McMahons NEXTBIGSTAR National Contest for best Rock Group. Since then they have continued to open doors. Playing at Chicagos House of Blues,Navy Pier BudLite Stage and showcases at many Music Conferences and being voted top ten band in Chicago with a showcase at The Star Plaza Theatre in 2005 and 2006. They have opened for many National acts including being invited to Florida to open for George Clinton and the PFunkadelics. In Mar 2005 they were invited to play at Vince Neils after show party following a Motley Crue Concert in Chicago. In July 2005 Detour was chosen to open up for The Gin Blossoms in Chicago at RidgeFest. Detour continues to tour all around the midwest gaining a strong fan base. In August 2005 they played at The Nemo Fair in Missouri and shared the stage with country music star Joe Nichols. On July 3rd 2006 Detour played to a packed Navy Pier on Chicagos Lake Front just before the Chicago fireworks display. In September 2006 Detour was invited to play the second stage for a Godsmack & Rob Zombie concert at The Nidwest Bank Ampliteater in Tinley Park Illinios. Detour purchased the tour bus once owned by The Little River Band and nows tours all over the midwest in their own tour bus.
