Detrimental

Detrimental is high energy - and beyond. They grab listeners with hard rock the way it was meant to be played and never let up. Their stage presence and fan chemistry can not be matched - check out their show and see for yourself!

Detrimental has been wowing fans since 2008. This hard rock band recorded their EP, The First Dose, in late April, 2010, at The Echo Lab Studio in Florence, Kentucky. Immediately following the recording sessions, they released their first studio video, “Bring on the Fire.” It was an instant success with their fans on YouTube, and continues to gain hits as the band grows in popularity. It was followed by the full-length album Mythridatism on November 8th, 2011. Detrimental continues seeking out new and exciting venues to perform at that can match their energy, and has played with such national acts as Pop Evil, Smile Empty Soul, Hurt, Wayne Static, Kill Devil Hill, Gemini Syndrome, Evolove, Sintonik, Taddy Porter, Prospect Hill, and Taproot.

Band Lineup Includes:

Matthew Fritsch (Singer) - Matt can be summed up in two words: High Energy. His onstage charisma and driving vocals are two of the signatures of Detrimental. His previous band, Third Omen, played throughout the Greater Cincinnati Area at such locations as The Blue Note, Rhino’s East, and Annie’s (now Inner Circle). Their shows included Halloween Hell 2007 and the after show for Drowning Pool at The Blue Note. While Third Omen dissolved (the band members, however, remain friends), Matt believes Detrimental has even greater potential, and is looking forward to proving it.

Doug Edwards (Bass) - Doug discovered Detrimental at a local show, and instantly established a strong connection with the band. When the band restructured itself in 2009, his powerful presence easily melded with the essence of Detrimental, making him the perfect choice for a new bassist. His smooth yet aggressive playing style completes the band’s unforgettable stage presence.

Johnathen Robbins (Guitar) - Johnathan’s loves include great music and exceptional video games. Having performed in numerous cities including Chicago, he now brings his slick rhythms and flowing stage energy to Detrimental.
