"Last Weekend Feedback"

Overall: When I listen to Last Weekend, what is clear to me is that you have a point of view. Tracks like Whiskey for the Pain, The Forum, and Oceania seem highly influenced by the emotional rap made popular Kanye, Drake, and others. Now we know those guys have money and confidence, so what separate an emerging artist from them? That’s the sort of angle I’d look to take advantage of, which is where Oceania comes into play. Collabrotion is good because it gives you more outlets to promote the single (multiple artists’ social media pages as opposed to one). Production will likely catch the attention of electronic/instrumental fans, which are quite common SoundCloud. Your wordplay is deserving of attention. - Sean O'Leary(Indie Shuffle)

Bio

Houston, Texas native Devin Christopher Roy has been rapping since the age of ten, but did not take his passion for music into serious consideration until ten years later. After purchasing a MacBook Pro and a decent Microphone, he began to record songs and play them for close friends. Seeing a great reaction from his friends made Devin Chris Roy's passion for making music grow into something greater, Devin Chris Roy explains, "I felt like it was time to take my music to another level. Better quality, better lyrics, and a unique style." Although many of the people around him supported his decision, not everyone took him seriously as an artist. Devin Chris Roy says, "It was hard hearing some of the people I grew up with talking negatively about my aspirations as a rap artist, but with the support of my real friends I overcame all of that. I told myself I wouldn't quit, I wasn't raised to be a quitter." After overcoming a minor setback the young artist began to work on his first 15-track mixtape titled "Rush Week” named after the week when fraternities have large parties and seek for new members. "I'm in a fraternity, so the experiences I have had inspired the name of the tape.” “Rush Week” went on to gain Devin Chris Roy fans from fraternity and sorority members across the U.S.  Devin Chris Roy’s two singles since then ("Summer Nights" & "The Morning After”) have seen much success throughout the internet and has caught the attention of industry people throughout.  With the release of his Last Weekend EP, Devin Chris Roy looks to accelerate his momentum with the public to reach ultimate stardom.
