Biography

Devin “@rtyst”, puts the ‘extra’ in Extraordinary Music, LLC. As the CEO and creative director he and young entrepreneur William Branham III have partnered to “strategically and professionally” claim their spots in the music industry. Devin serves as the musical brain of the company, producing, writing, and engineering countless "extraordinary" tracks. Not to mention his ability to rap with the best of them, while also being able to connect with his r&b and alternative rock audience through a sultry but raspy singing style, Devin proves to be a quintuple-threat in the music business. Collaborating with several up and coming artists, writers, musicians, and producers alike (Rock City, Kenny "SOUNDZ" Coby, Diego Cash just to name a few) Devin shows true versatility and exemplifies that of a genuinely personable individual.

Art and education have been the foundations of Devin's upbringing. With his mother being a skilled professional visual artist, and his father, a well known administrator and teacher in the science department of Morehouse, diligence, discipline, and creativity have been instilled in him since day one. With music being one of his favorite subjects in school it wasn't hard for his mother to convince him to join the orchestra, and in the 4th grade at Kittredge Magnet School he picked up his very first instrument-the cello.
This would pave the way for his musical innovation and passion for the rest of his life. Upon graduating from Riverwood High School in the north Atlanta area in 2005, Devin received the "fine arts" seal for his active participation in the orchestra for almost 10 years. Through past formal training of several instruments in the orchestra, Devin has taught himself to play the guitar and piano, increasing his arsenal of musical weaponry.

In 2011 Devin joined with musician and producer Bam Dido and formed the indie band Quita.Dream in Atlanta, GA. They have done shows all over Atlanta and the rest of US including the 2011 Essence Festival in New Orleans and SuperBOLD Band Battle during the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis. They released their first EP early 2012 entitled "...And on the 8th Day God Got High".

Influenced by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jay-Z, Pharrell, N.E.R.D. and countless other legends, Devin "@rtyst", is sure to emerge as a new leading music producer and artist of our time and contribute to the art form in a way that no other artist has done before.
