Bio
Devon Dodgson is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle. Her contemporary-folk writing style features the presentation of an authentic female experience through honest storytelling, emotive vocal timbre, and winding melodies & harmonies. Devon holds a degree in music therapy and describes her relationship to songwriting as an incredible tool for self-revelation, emotional regulation, and truth telling. As an artist and performer, her passion is to facilitate moments of beauty and expression where listeners are invited to connect more authentically with their own stories, finding moments of clarity and healing.
Devon’s most recent body of work is a study of marriage and partnership. Born in the years since being wed in early 2016, “Tapestry” presents a progression of love as two individuals mature through acts of intimacy, shared sorrow, and loyal companionship (set to release fall 2019).
Beyond her solo project, Devon is a member of DATENITE, a local synth-pop band where she contributes harmony and lead vocals, keys, electric guitar, and songwriting. She regularly collaborates with local musicians and has been a member of church bands and worship leadership for almost two decades.
