Bio

Bryon Jones, known as BJones, was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 14, 1987 raised in a single parent home Bryon began to develop an eclectic taste for all different types of musical genres. Growing up listening to a mix of Marvin gay, Shade, Erik B and Rakim, and Busta Rhymes was the beginning of Bryon’s smooth rapping style; that is both informative as the lyrics of a Marvin Gay song but as Ruff as the lifestyle and real talk words of Erik B. and Rakim. With a flow so smooth and infectious the makings of a great lyricist was beginning.

Bryon’s lyrical talents began to grow during his freshmen year in High School where he, along with a close acquaintance, began to freestyle during lunch. Gaining popularity amongst their peers the duo decided to form a rap group known as “The Johnson Boys.” High off their growing “lunch room” fame the duo decided to record an album to further propel their success and broaden their target audience. Word spread about the pair and now every young and upcoming lyricist wanted to align themselves with the rising stars.

The group “Drafpic” was formed shortly after which consisted of Bryon Jones along with four other members. Gaining respect in the community for their scorching lyrical talents the boys aligned themselves with a local producer by the name of Shawn Walker the boys cut their first album entitled DRAFPIC. The CD was all the buzz in the streets but one lyricist stood out among the group for having the hardest punch lines, Bryon Jones.

Running on the success of the albums the group dropped, Bryon Jones was gearing to start his solo career; while still maintaining close relationship with the group members of Drafpic Bryon worked with local producers and artist to create one of the hottest independent albums the city of Springfield had ever heard. Releasing his first single off his self entitled CD Car Game Up produced by Joe Banks, Bryon began to capture the attention of the citizens of Springfield as well as nationally, via Myspace. The high demand for what Bryon was supply, which is hot lyrics and punch lines over body rocking beats, has fueled Bryon’s ambition to be signed to a major label.

In the mean time Bryon is currently finishing his debut album as well as performing for local talent agencies, clubs, parties, and high profile events. It’s only a matter of time before the world will recognize his talent and see his shine.
