D. Hollywood is a rock band from Los Angeles California. This band is painfully original and they do what they do in a big way musically. In my eyes there have been a lack of excitement in rock over the past few years, yet this band may be more excite than some are willing to handle. The D is for Dirty, and he has a resume including playing drums with Donovan. The sound is heavy, but it has a sensible rhythm to it. This is an act that is not afraid to give a crowd some raw power, while meaning something all at the same time. The best contemporary comparison would be the Foo Fighters. D. Hollywood attacks the scene with nothing but personality. It is heard in every note that this man does what he loves, and he does it well. D. Hollywood is purely and exciting act to share with friends, family, and tell people you heard them before the rest.

D is for Dirty...
Holed up in his studio apartment a stones throw from Hollywood Blvd, and armed with a cubase 3 rig maxing out a 3.000 GHz pentium chip and 1GB of RAM. Dirty is a one man band battling the machine and winning. . The debut album is complete and due for a digital self release in the fall of 2010 unless a forward thinking, brilliant, fair-trade, mid-sized, sustainable record label has another idea.
While Dirty played and recorded virtually every instrument on the album, the live band lives up to the recordings. Dirty instantly grabs your attention, electric and daper, his charisma is deep and sincere with a lingering sense that he may be a bit “off” in the brain. Dirty’s charm and quirk perfectly personify D. Hollywood’s music. Artsy yet comprehendible, radio friendly but unique. Tour ready and armed with a delicious record, D. Hollywood just showed up at the party.
D. Hollywood's eccentric image paired with his market friendly sound are an easy pitch for placements in video games, extreme sporting videos, any reality show, or vampire obsession, as well as indie and major feature films. Check out "california" for any cues in need of a heavy west coast anthem, and "my name is love" for the car chase, gnarly skate set, or any get up and go scenerio or attitude.
D. Hollywood is brand new but has already been embraced by some of the chociest venues in Los Angeles, including the Dragonfly, the Air Conditioned Supper Club, Club Moscow (Boardners) and even Captain and Tenille's Rumbo Studios. As a drummer/percussionist Dirty has performed with:

Never mind what mama said, you can enjoy D. Hollywood any time of day or night. However it is recommended you wait 30 minutes before swimming after ingesting D. Hollywood.
