I keep waiting for the letter that points the finger of hate at me (again); "I know Yogi Haughton is best mates with Carl Dupree at Phuture Sole Records, why does he keep making them Sureplayer records?" Well, it's true, Carl is a good mate, but his label is proving itself to be damn consistent and believe me, when they release a crap record I will review it and say it's crap. Until then, it's the same ol' story...incredible soulful house music from New Jersey with understated beats and a voice of velvet from Diamond Temple (right). Once again, Phuture Sole feed the floors of the real garage scene and modern soul scene with this B-3 organ and harmonica-laced soul scorcher. Don't doubt the female vocalist's talent, Diamond Temple's or the production duo of Mark Mendoza and Rob 'Da Noize' for one moment, they all do a great job on this fifth Phuture Sole outing. From Loves Masquerade and Lift Him Up to Fly to I Never Knew, Diamond Temple has been turning heads in the music industry since 1994. In 1994, Loves Masquerade featured the talent of Diamond Temple that has made him an international favorite. From his humble beginnings in Red Hook, Brooklyn where he first began to listen to music and rehearse on subway platforms, Diamond cites some of his main singing influences such as Barbra Streisand, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Decades later, Diamond Temple has found himself writing his own lyrics and creating exceptional vocals and continues to work with his brother, Rob Da' Noize Temple in his studio in Brooklyn. Get familiar with the sounds of Diamond Temple. His music can be described as music that makes you soar, a surprising intertwining of enchanting melodies, and energy that leaves you feeling upbeat and strong.
