Diamondwolf is two Seattle musicians’ karmic destiny. Alicia Dara (The Volcano Diary, solo artist and pro-choice activist: www.aliciadara.com) and Glen Cooper first met in 2001 on the singer-songwriter circuit. They parted ways but never lost touch. Ten years later they reconnected and noticed how well their voices worked together. Suddenly Diamondwolf was born.

The Diamondwolf sound is sexy, strummy, dark and dreamy. They are sometimes compared to fellow Seattle bands Jesse Skyes and the Sweet Hereafter, and The Head and The Heart. They’ve also been called “Cocteau Twins meets Gutter Twins”, because of their skillful and haunting close-harmony singing. Both Alicia and Glen are multi-instrumental and play different instruments, but the core of the band’s live sounds is two voices and two guitars. Diamondwolf songs are passionate, haunting, melodic. They are full of images from nature that evoke the stunning, raw beauty of the Pacific Northwest. A particular fan favorite is their original single “Cool Blue Fire”, released in 2012. They are also known for their cover of “The Messenger” by Daniel Lanois, and “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak.
