Bio

Traditional Gospel Music has been the bedrock of Diane's musical journey. She recorded on major record labels, formed singing groups, and founded varied types of bands. "Yes, I'm heavily into Bluegrass Gospel and Country Gospel. I feel it deep down INSIDE me," cites Diane McKoy.
Bluegrass Gospel bands are virtually nonexistent in the Big Apple, except for “Diane McKoy and A Small Few.” There was one other. McKoy started it. The band lasted 13 years before disbanding. However, McKoy's venue endures. In 1990 Diane became a born again Christian and began combining her love of
God with her love for Grassroots Music. Then in 1992 McKoy formed New York City's first and only known Bluegrass Gospel band called the Singing Conquerors. Diane's bluegrass encouragement and pivotal support came from her co-founding
member, Russell Scholl. The Singing Conquerors went on to perform in theaters, schools, bluegrass festivals, museums, clubs, churches, and also at The White House before they disbanded.
In 2008, Diane became part of Texas based Deep South Productions label and has put out two albums.
